Every year, Nakuru County Tourism Association in collaboration with the County Government of Nakuru and other stakeholders, has joined the world to celebrate the World Tourism Day. In each of the annual celebrations, NCTA has curated unique editions in line with #WTD theme.
This year’s global theme is ‘Rethinking Tourism’ and Nakuru City will seize the opportunity to shape how tourism is consumed. Tourism diversification is the core of this year’s event and the first under the new County administration.

The event edition will focus on ‘Celebrating the Foods of Nakuru City’. Being a cosmopolitan city in Kenya and among the newest cities in the world, there is need to celebrate Nakuru’s beautiful culinary diversity. The event aims to promote Nakuru City foods as an integral aspect of the cultural assets. This great mix brings with it unique cuisines that are distinct to each community.

Tourism players comprising of hotels, tour companies, tourism suppliers, academia, corporates, tourism government bodies and the public will get an opportunity to network at the newly rehabilitated Nyayo Gardens Park.
The event attracts over 1,000 delegates drawn from tourism and hospitality sectors in Nakuru County and beyond. This presents a unique opportunity for partners within the industry to join hands towards driving the initiative.
